Apple’s upcoming 4.7-inch iPhone 6 will be sporting super-durable sapphire crystal display and could be un-scratchable, even a sharp knife can’t scratch its surface. No this is not a mockup but its an actual, straight-off-the-assembly-line iPhone 6 part from Apple.

Knife Test on Leaked Sapphire Crystal Display of iPhone 6

The YouTube user MKBHD, who makes Tech videos managed to get this iPhone 6 part ahead of launch. He thanks Sonny Dickson for obtaining the display, Sonny Dickson is known for leaking iPhone parts and other stuff ahead of launches.

The sapphire crystal Display is paper thin and can endure intense pressure. The sapphire crystal material is often used in high-end watches and camera lenses to make it Scratch-proof. Even some phone manufacturers have been using it for camera lenses but no one thought of using it for Displays except Apple.

The video below demonstrates how bendable the display is and a knife test on the same. This technology will surely eliminate the need of screen protectors.
